Your loved one is in the hospital and they are having a medical crisis.
To be near your loved one who needs you more than ever.
You realize that you need a place to stay. A place to eat. A place to shower. And a place to sleep (even if it is only for a few minutes). Many questions start running through your mind:
- Where will we stay?
- How will we afford a hotel for an extended period of time?
- How can we be as close as possible to our loved one?
- How will we function, sleep, eat, and prepare ourselves for the most emotionally draining time in our lives?
- Where can I get support?
Immediately, you can take a deep breath. You at least have a place to stay for the night.
And realize, this is no ordinary place to stay; it is an extraordinary place to stay. Our welcoming staff and volunteers are sympathetic to your crisis and needs.
Did you forget the basics (toiletries, clothes and more)? We have toiletries and laundry for our guests.
Do you need food, kitchen utensils, and coffee ? Come raid our pantry. Cook your meal. And drink as much coffee as you need.
Do you need contact information for support, help and more? We have lists of information for you.
Do you have a financial situation that prevents you from making a small donation? We never turn away a family who does not have the financial means to donate to Jacob’s House.
Jacob’s House helps address the financial, spiritual, geographical, and time-sensitive needs that people in crisis require when their loved one is in the hospital. In our four bedroom facility, located near the recently opened Temecula Valley Hospital, we partner with hospitals in the area to provide a place for people to stay when they have loved ones in the hospital.
We know that the journey of a crisis is difficult and emotionally exhausting. A warm shower, a warm meal, and a comfortable place to stay can help make the journey of a family’s crisis more bearable.
