Almost one year ago, the Board of Directors made the tough decision to demolish a beautiful swimming pool and spa that came with the purchase of our property. It wasn’t too hard to realize, when families are suffering from a hospitalized loved one in traumatic medical crisis, no one is thinking about laying around by a pool, no matter how beautiful it is. The reduction in maintenance and utilities will allow us to spend more donor dollars on the operations and support for the house and families.
One of our very own local playground installation contractors, Steve Stann, the owner of Perpetual Parks and Playgrounds, Inc. approached us about installing a playground. We want to THANK the following donors for their vision to help the children of our guests, to enjoy a time of respite and fun, while they too are victims of hard times when a family member is in critical condition medically. The emotional healing and the memories of their stay at Jacob’s House will be softened by the times they will be able to enjoy our Jacob’s House Playground very soon!

Without your support and faith in our Mission to help families in their time of traumatic medical crisis, we would not be where we are today. It is with humble and grateful appreciation that we are honored to serve the citizens of Temecula and the surrounding communities, as well as serving the greater SW Riverside County area hospitals. Through the trust and commitment of Southwest Healthcare Systems and medical staff from Temecula Valley Hospital, Inland Valley Hospital, Rancho Springs Medical Center, and Rady Children’s Murrieta, we have received our family guest referrals, making our jobs a joy to serve others in the darkest times in life. We can proudly say we’ve served 205 guests for 1,500 individual guest night stays from 27 states and 5 international countries. Finally, we cannot fail to mention the wonderful, giving, caring, and hardworking Service Clubs, Church Organizations, Scout Troops, Philanthropic Organizations, Professional Associations, and Business Clubs, School Clubs, and beautiful individual volunteers….who spend their time, energy, and effort to clean, sweep, wipe, paint, build, and plant, to keep Jacob’s House sparkling and pristine every day! LifeNote is a music charity for children. This event allows children to directly experience the concept of charity by their own hand, and to understand the feeling of giving back to one’s community using natural musical talents, with voice or musical instrument.
LifeNote 2015 is presented by Temecula Valley Neurosurgery. All proceeds will benefit Jacob’s House, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit refuge for families of hospitalized patients in Temecula, CA. Jacob’s House operations is based on community sponsorship and donations.

On Saturday, October 11, 2014…..get your bicycle ready and join the TEMECULA VALLEY CENTURY BIKE RIDE! There are various levels of bike rides for everyone who enjoys riding through our beautiful and scenic valley. Jacob’s House is hosting the “Family Fun Ride” as a pit-stop this year in our beautiful and large horse arena. You’ll leave Old Town and ride for seven miles down Temecula Parkway, turn north onto Margarita Road, and turn left at Jedediah Smith Road for a rest stop at Jacob’s House, right on the south corner! We will provide an opportunity for riders to take a loop around our house on the circular driveway, where you’ll be able to see the lush garden and quaint Chapel in the rear area of the property! And it’s FREE to all riders!

Helmut and I can’t thank you enough, not only you but also the staff and all the wonderful caring volunteers of the Jacobs House. Being from Chicago, it was of great comfort to us to come to the JH each evening after spending the day with our daughter and her battle with stage 4 cancer. We enjoyed all the amenities that the JH offered—-the cup of coffee in the morning, the large TV screen to relax by and the beautiful room to lay our heads down at nighttime. it was truly a Home away from Home. We are blessed and grateful for having all of this available to us –thank you, thank you. thank you, especially in the time of our need and when our spirits were low you were there.
