On Monday July 23, 2012, Southland Industries hosted its Annual Golf Tournament in Costa Mesa, California, donating the event’s proceeds to Jacob’s House. As the primary beneficiary of the tournament, Jacob’s House was presented with a final donation of $73,000 from Joe Cvetas, Chief Business Development Officer and Executive Vice President at Southland. This contribution marks the largest single donation ever received by the non-profit organization, since its inception in 2007.
“We are honored to contribute to such a great organization. Jacob’s House is a much needed facility and will help many people for years to come,” stated Mr. Cvetas.
Southland chose to donate its tournament’s proceeds to the building of Jacob’s House based on the abundant need for such a housing facility in the Temecula region for families struggling to survive and overcome life’s challenges.
“We are grateful beyond words to Southland Industries,” said Shawn Nelson, Co-Founder and Chairman of Jacob’s House. “We are committed to helping families in crisis, and Southland Industries has made an investment in the lives of people that will live on for many years to come.”
