Southern California Edison Chooses Jacob’s House as Beneficiary for Contributions Campaign
TEMECULA, CA – May 1, 2009 – The LEED Certified Southern California Edison Wildomar Service Center and Edison Rancho Cucamonga facility have chosen Jacob’s House as one of the non-profit organizations to benefit from their employee 2009 Charitable Contributions Campaign.
The campaign encourages Edison employees to give annually to charitable organizations and schools of their choice. These funds benefit numerous nonprofit organizations, such as the American Heart Association, City of Hope and now Jacob’s House, just to name a few, whose programs assist those in need.
“Edison is proud of the generosity of its employees. We encourage and support their commitment to their community,” states Jim Ver Straten, Employee Contributions Campaign Leader.
Edison International employees donate millions each year – nearly $4.1 million in 2007 – through our Employee Contributions Campaign. More than 8,000 Edison International employees participated in the company’s 2007 giving campaign, which benefited more than 3,400 nonprofit agencies and charities.

Jacob’s House, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) (3). The organization is currently in the process of initiating a capital campaign to raise funds for its building design and land acquisition. It will be a home of refuge where families and loved ones of those in traumatic medical need can find hope, comfort, peace and inspiration.
Jacob’s House will be a community resource dedicated to serving families in crisis. It will do this by providing a shelter for physical, emotional and spiritual support.
