Jacob’s House Appoints Additional Board Members

TEMECULA, CA – March 19, 2008 – Jacob’s House, Inc, has appointed additional board members to its Executive Board. New members are Ron Jolivette, Dr. Laurence Boggeln, and Vikita Poindexter.

Ron Jolivette title prior to retirement came from  Senior Architect, Healthcare Design & Construction, Facilities Design and Construction, University of California, San Diego. Secondly; Deputy Director, Office of Design and Construction, University of California, Riverside.  As an Achhitect and Construction Manager, involved for years in healthcare projects, he felt a divine calling to serve on the Jacob’s House board to assist in achieving the vision.

Dr. Laurence Bogeln background with Hospice of the Valley and the alignment of the missions of Hospice of the Valleys and Jacob’s House help to provide the support of families of patients who are experiencing serious, possibly life threatening illness or jinjury need our support.  Dr. Boggeln, “ I am humbled to contribute whatever I can to carry out these life-affirming missions.”

Vikita Poindexter, SPHR, owns and operates Poindexter Consulting Group, As the mother of a child who has been hospitalized 22 times in just 10 years, Jacobs House provides the community support so many families need to cope with life-threatening illness and injury.  Health challenges often strike unannounced leaving victims and their precious families devastated.  And for those with pre-existing conditions, often times we find ourselves going it alone.  Jacobs House strengthens our community and provides the support system many so desperately need.  I am honored and blessed to be a part of making this dream a reality
Each Board Member will serve a two-year term. Other Board Members are: Katherine Bailey, Christina Gamboa, Linda Mejia, Ralph Plumb, Stephanie Nelson, and Martin Weiss.

Jacob’s House, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) (3).  The organization is currently in the process of initiating a capital campaign to raise funds for its building design and land acquisition. It will be a home of refuge where families and loved ones of those in traumatic medical need can find hope, comfort, peace and inspiration. Jacob’s House will be a community resource dedicated to serving families in crisis. It will do this by providing a shelter for physical, emotional and spiritual support.
